Call for Public to Nominate Top Tradesmen

TradesAdvisor, the company behind the annual Trades Awards, is today (Monday, January 20th, 2014) calling on the general public to nominate their top local tradesman of the year.

This is the first time that the Trades Awards, set up to showcase knowledge, experience and integrity of the North East’s joiners, builders, plumbers, electricians and other skilled workers, has devised a special award judged by the general public. All other awards are scrutinised by a handpicked panel of judges.

Darren Ross, Director at TradesAdvisor comments, “This is the general public’s opportunity to reward and recognise an outstanding tradesman from our local area. Following feedback from our first ceremony last year, we found that members of the public would relish the opportunity to put forward someone who has gone above and beyond in the trades sector.

“It isn’t a sector which is readily commended up here in the North East, and we feel that these unsung heroes’ extraordinary talent merits the recognition it deserves.”

It is free to enter the Trades Awards, with each applicant eligible to enter a maximum of three categories each. The deadline for entries is Friday, February 28th, 2014, with finalists announced on Friday, April 18th, 2014.

Winners will be announced at a lavish awards ceremony on Thursday, June 5th, 2014 at Aberdeen Football Club.
