Finalists of 2015 Trades Awards Face Final Hurdle
The search for North East Scotland’s top tradesmen came to an exciting close this week (Thursday 30 April 2015) as the finalists prepared to meet the judging panel for the last time.
Xcite Media, the company behind the annual Trades Awards, hosted a lunch for the 35 finalists and judges at Aberdeen’s Trinity Hall – home of the Seven Incorporated Trades of Aberdeen.
Designed to showcase knowledge, experience and integrity of the region’s joiners, builders, plumbers, electricians and other skilled workers, the awards are now in their third year.
The judging panel, which includes a selection of Aberdeen’s business community, were able to pose questions to the finalists before making their final decisions on who the winners will be. Winners will be announced at a black tie dinner on Friday, 12th June 2015 at Pittodrie Stadium.
The twelve categories at this year’s awards are:

- Best in Customer Service (sponsored by Public Loss Adjusters.Com)
- Best Use of Innovation (sponsored by Eyecandy Graphics)
- Home Improvement – Interior (sponsored by Simply Self Storage)
- Tradesman of the Year (sponsored by Original 106 FM)
- New Business Award (sponsored by Clark Commercials)

Each applicant was eligible to enter a maximum of three categories each and each award winner will be selected by an independent panel of judges.
Main event sponsor, The Stewart Milne Group, outlined the benefits and potential opportunities available for trades businesses as well the organisations plans for 2015.
