i-Protech Technologies Limited is up for not one, not two, but three categories at this year’s Trades Awards! We spoke to Stuart Munro and Jim Middleton from i-Protech about what winning would mean to the business.

Congratulations on your triple shortlisting! One of the awards you’re nominated for is Trades Innovation. What drives the development of i-Protech’s innovative solutions?

“We like to identify issues that our customers may have and work together with them to find solutions in how we can automate their building/home to the best of our abilities. We visualise automation being the future in newer developments as technology continues to change the way we live every day.”

i-Protech was an early adopter of intelligent building controls technology. Are there other technologies the company is exploring for the future?

“We strive to be the leader in our area and we are looking at technology that will allow us to harvest green power from natural sources and build them into our everyday homes, such as power storage. Powerwall batteries integrate with solar technology to store excess energy generated during the day and makes it available when you need it, minimising reliance on your utility. Other technologies we are looking at include how we can help people with disabilities and transform their lives with the technology we have available.”

And how would it feel to win any, or all three, of the trophies?

“We would be VERY proud to feel that we are being recognised for our expertise in the work that we do. We are very passionate about what we do and aim to make our brand bigger and better. We would also recognise all our customers for allowing us to achieve our dream.”
