Darren Ross, Director of Xcite Media Ltd – the company behind the Trades Awards and comments: “We were overwhelmed by the response, time and effort that each entrant had put into our awards this year. The trades industry is a very important one and it’s a pity it sometimes seems to become lost amongst the dominant energy sector in Aberdeen. We are so pleased to be able to showcase the good things going on in this sector and give companies and their employees the recognition they deserve. I would like to take this opportunity to extend my congratulations to everyone who took part this year on behalf of Xcite Media, and we hope to replicate this success again next year.”

Mike Naysmith, awards judge and Managing Director at CALA Homes (North), the main sponsor of the event, comments, “The Trades Awards has offered a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the many outstanding tradespeople working across the North East, and we are proud to be a part of it.

“As Aberdeen continues to ride the energy boom wave, and in order to sustain the growth it brings, first class links between builders like CALA and tradespeople are absolutely vital. Our sector is one which is fundamental to the region’s development, so we are keen to forge links which will enable us to make the most of that.

“My fellow judges and I have been very impressed by the quality of entries for this year’s awards, and wish to congratulate and thank all the winners and finalists.”
