Trades Awards 2018 Winners Announced at Black Tie Ceremony
Last night (Friday 8th June), at Ardoe House Hotel, the winners of the 2018 Trades Awards were announced to an audience of over 400 people.
This year’s celebrations, which were the largest to day, were also helping to raise money and awareness for Mental Health Aberdeen, and almost £6,000 + vat was raised on the evening.
Mike Wilson, Managing Director of Mearns & Gill said, “On behalf of everyone at Mearns & Gill, I would like to congratulate all of our 2018 Trades Awards winners. The competition was of an extremely high standard this year, and it was humbling to see so many extremely talented, passionate individuals from all trades disciplines, gathered together in the same room, to celebrate all that is great about the North-east construction industry.”
“It has never been more important to celebrate the good things in life, to recognise efforts and achievements, and to share good news in a way that can inspire others, motivate people to work hard, and encourage them to bring out the best in those around them. Our hope is that the Trades Awards continues to provide the platform for these celebrations, highlighting the incredibly talented individuals, innovative businesses and exciting projects that we have in this area.
Neil Thomson, Construction Director, Stewart Milne Homes said, “Stewart Milne Group are extremely proud to have sponsored Trades Awards for the fourth year in a row, and we would like to thank every person and company who took the time to enter this year, all the way back in February. We would also like to congratulate all 14 of this year’s very worthy winners.”
“It is hugely important to us that we continue to support the construction industry as a whole, both to encourage those who are considering it as a career path, and to reward and recognise those who are already achieving excellence within it. I am honoured to have met this year’s winners, and I now look forward to watching their progress in the months ahead and hopefully they will all return next year to share in another ‘celebration of success’.
