Trades Awards 2020 ceremony moved to Friday 9th October
In light of the current Coronavirus pandemic, and the essential changes that are now in place in order to keep as many people as safe as possible, we have made the following changes to the plans for Trades Awards 2020, and will continue to listen to advice from the Government, NHS and WHO.
The date of this year’s awards ceremony has been moved from Friday 5th June to Friday 9th October 2020. This change of date means that we have also made the following important changes:
• We are extending the application deadline to Friday 29th May. We understand that the next few weeks bring uncertainty for everyone, along with new business and personal priorities. As we find our way through this challenging time, we decided to offer the extension just in case you or a member of your team need a break from what is going on, and would like to do something reflective, productive, and potentially fun.
• The Trades Awards judging process will now take place in June, and finalists will be announced before the end of June. All judging will be done remotely, with judges meeting via video conferencing.
• In July, each finalist will then be invited to take part in an interview with the judging panel, using Zoom video conferencing or Facetime. Full details, instructions and advice will be sent out in advance.
We will continue to speak with our friends across our social channels, but we appreciate that your priorities are changing by the day. If you want a friendly ear to talk to, about anything at all, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Above everything, please stay safe and sane out there. In a time of big uncertainty, the one certain thing is that we are in this together.
